All HTC One M9 Owners Entitled to One Free Replacement Under Warranty

HTC One M9 Owners to Receive Free Replacements for Cracked Displays, Water Damage or Carrier SwitchingThinking about buying a HTC One M9, but you’re worried you’ll end up breaking it? Have no fear, because HTC has your back. The tech company is going to offer one free replacement for every type of standard damage, or if you switch carriers with your HTC One M9.

We all know how tedious keeping a device can be. Accidents do happen, and when it comes to expensive devices, they’re even more troublesome. As if losing your data isn’t bad enough, damaging your device usually means that you have to take out your wallet for a replacement, but that’s not the case with the HTC One M9. This replacement program is called “Uh Oh Protection”, and it has you covered for either a cracked screen, water damage, or carrier switching. Alternatively, if you decide that the HTC One M9 is no longer suited for you after you damage it, you can send it back and get $100 off the price of an HTC One device, given that you sacrifice a year of warranty. This should save a lot of hassle for most users, or at least it will help them after their first little accident. This is quite unexpected coming from HTC, but it’s pretty cool.

Obviously, as with any other replacement program, there are some terms you need to take into consideration. First off, you’re going to need to supply HTC with a credit card number, and the tech giant will deduct $300 from your account temporarily. Second of all, you can also opt in for a possibility where they send you your new device as soon as they receive the damaged one. Once you damage your device for the first time, feel free to pick up your phone and call 866-449-8358 to have a chat with one of HTC’s customer service representatives. They should help you out with the process of replacing your device.

What do you think about this unexpected offer coming from HTC? Is it generous, or is it just another way to boost their sales? Please elaborate by leaving a comment.

Up until recently I was very much of the opinion that HTC made beautiful phones and Samsung – to put it mildly – didn’t. With the release of the Galaxy S6, that opinion is shifting. Sure, HTC still makes beautiful hardware (both aesthetically and functionally), but when we’re talking about Android, Samsung...
